The Covid-19 pandemic ravaging through the country has greatly influenced our lives in plenty of ways and altered the daily routines for most of us. Many cities across the United States have scrambled to find a way to help the locals retain a sense of normalcy and also come up with solutions that will support the struggling small businesses and tourist industry. The City of Dayton managed to come up with fun and exciting ways to promote the city’s cultural offerings as well as local restaurants, bakeries, bars, and coffee shops.
Have Fun And Win Money With The Downtown Dayton Bingo Card
The Downtown Dayton Partnership (DDP), a nonprofit organization providing various business services in the area, has taken cues from the popular game of bingo to create a unique and exciting adventure for Dayton locals and, at the same time, provide a boost for the small business in the city.
The Downtown Dayton Bingo Card, presented by the DDP, is a fun way for Dayton residents and visitors to explore this lovely city. Also, you can get to know the local artists, and do some shopping. Additionally, taste some of the most delicious foods and beverages available in the area. By doing this, “the players” will simultaneously complete a series of challenges and earn a chance to compete for valuable prizes.
The President of the Downtown Dayton Partnership, Sandra K. Gudorf, expressed hope that her fellow citizens will use this project to explore safely. Additionally, she will learn more about Gem City downtown. Perhaps, she can discover some new favorite spots. Also, provide some much-needed backing for the small business and art community.
The game has already started on January 7th and will go on for over a month, ending on February 15th. Participants can download their bingo cards from the official site of the Downtown Dayton Partnership or their Facebook page.
The Challenges Of The In-Person Bingo Card To Be Completed In Person
Some challenges on the bingo card can be completed in-person, following all of the safety guidelines currently in effect, while the others can be done from home via the internet. The challenges include buying an e-gift card at a local store, visiting the light display at Courthouse Square. Additionally, writing 3 online reviews for local businesses and ordering a downtown restaurant take out. Also, taking a public art tour, downloading a performance from the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance, going for a walk along the river, and many other fun tasks.
Score A Bingo Five Times To Win A Prize And Submit Your Photo
To win one of the prizes, the players have to score a bingo by completing at least five challenges on the card and submit a photo or a screenshot as proof. The challenges are divided into three categories:
- Virtual – taking a screenshot of a completed online task
- Support Local – taking a photo of yourself while completing a task, for example, dining at a local restaurant
- Get Out and Explore – taking a picture of yourself at some of the local localities that are a part of the game, for example, a selfie in front of a piece of street art from a local artist
On Monday, February 15th when the game ends, five lucky winners will be rewarded with a Downtown Dayton Prize Pack which includes gift cards in the total value of over $100 that can be used in some of the downtown businesses.
